Scottye Lindsey Joins RIHousing Board of Commissioners

Rhode Island Housing recently welcomed Scottye Lindsey to the agency’s Board of Commissioners. Nominated by Governor Gina Raimondo, Lindsey’s appointment as RI Department of Business Regulation (DBR) Commissioner was approved unanimously by the Rhode Island State Senate. In his role as DBR Commissioner, Lindsey sits on RIHousing’s Board in ex-officio capacity.

As Rhode Island’s Director of Business Regulation, Lindsey oversees the implementation of state laws mandating the regulation and licensing of designated businesses, professions and occupations.

“I am pleased to welcome Scottye to Rhode Island Housing’s Board of Commissioners,” said Barbara Fields, Executive Director of Rhode Island Housing. “His experience in finance will be an invaluable asset to our team as we continue our push to create more housing opportunities for working Rhode Islanders.”

Previously, Lindsey worked at Deutsche Bank for 18 years, where his experience included leveraged and investment grade corporate loan portfolio monitoring as well as lending assessment and approval.

Lindsey holds a degree in International Relations and Economics from Brown University and an MBA from Cornell University’s S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management.

“I am thrilled to join Rhode Island Housing’s Board of Commissioners,” said Lindsey. “I’m looking forward to working alongside the talented team at Rhode Island Housing to address Rhode Island’s growing need for safe, affordable housing.”
